Shakuntalam Telefilms has the second founder member in the form of Mr Shyamashis Bhattacharya who, with his prudence and vision, has lead the production house to carve a niche for itself. Mr Bhattacharya’s business acumen with immense organizational skills has enabled the production house to emerge into a strong business entity.

While providing production oversight on all the company’s project, he also manages the daily operations of the organisation that include business affairs, finance and human resources. He works closely with each production team to find creative ways to produce high quality shows while working within the confines of budgets.

Mr Bhattacharya is a cinematographer by profession and prior to establishing the company, during his tenure of work for TV18 from 1998 to 2001, he has shot various fiction and non-fiction shows like Bhanwar, Haadsa, Fast Track, MTV U, Public Demand etc. Later, he has also shot award winning shows like Kadam, Dhadkan, Crime Patrol etc.
