"Santaan" deals with the various aspects of parents-children relationship. It touches various issues of the relationship including the generation gap and conflicting values and morals between parents and their children.

"Santaan" tells the story of an extraordinary couple Parikshit Dixit and his wife Gayatri and their hardships and turmoil to keep their family strongly bonded even in their everyday struggle. The couple work hard compromising on almost all their needs and luxuries with an aim to set a bright and secure future for the children and see them happy for the rest of their life.
