Twenty years ago, the Rajpoot family of Bareilly unknowingly bought land inhabited by a centuries-old dark entity, Rani the Pishachini. With the help of a pandit, they managed to capture her, believing the danger was over. However, one family member later freed her and struck a deal, unleashing disaster.

In the present day, history repeats itself when a youngster from the Rajpoot family, lured by her temptations, invites Rani back into their lives. The elders know her danger, but the younger generation only sees her as a source of benefit.

Pavitra, the granddaughter of the pandit who once trapped Rani (and lost his life in the process), senses the looming threat. Having lost her own family to the Pishachini’s curse years ago, she is determined to destroy the evil entity. Through a chance encounter with Rocky, a Rajpoot son, Pavitra becomes closely tied to the family and learns of their deep danger.

As Rani infiltrates the household and even becomes a bahu (daughter-in-law), Pavitra enters the home at the same time, creating a powerful contrast: one daughter-in-law embodying evil, the other standing for purity and faith. The story then unfolds as a battle of good versus evil, with Pavitra as the family’s shield against the cunning, centuries-old powers of the Pishachini.
